Race for the Earth! We’ve continued the conversa

Race for the Earth! We’ve continued the conversations on how we can help our environment and celebrated with a final race this week. We had a water station, friends to cheer us on and lots of fun. Great work to all!

We said goodbye to the potholes and hello to a smo

We said goodbye to the potholes and hello to a smooth driveway, thanks to our friends at Federal Asphalt! We appreciate all of your hard work and efficiency while being so understanding and accepting of our unique facility. Our participants had a fabulous time watching the crew in action!

We have already received so many compliments on the amazing job from friends, families and visitors as they head up the driveway. Thank you!

Spring is officially here! Last week we completed

Spring is officially here! Last week we completed the great guinea pig migration and teams 1 and 1.2 did an awesome job. Before the big move, we ensured their summer home was prepped and tidy as always while making sure all of our guinea pig friends are happy and healthy. Big thank you to Costco Ritson for always donating fresh fruits and veggies for our animal ambassadors. We are all ready to enjoy this beautiful weather!

We have been discussing and celebrating Autism Awa

We have been discussing and celebrating Autism Awareness Month throughout April!

Our participants want to share their voices! They have gathered some thoughts they would like to pass along to the community. We want to educate more people to become more inclusive, understanding and supportive. In addition to the conversations we want to share with the community, we ended our month with a parade. Our parade was a chance to celebrate differences, diversity and the amazing traits of all of our participants!

We have a special shoutout for Dave, our volunteer extraordinaire! For over eight years, Dave continues to come in three days a week to help us out around our unique facility. From zip line designing to swing repairs, Dave can do it! He is a key member of our team and his ongoing support and efforts throughout the years have made such a difference for each of us at Nova’s Ark. Thank you, Dave!

It’s National Volunteer Week and we have a huge thank you to make! Nova’s Ark wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for our truly remarkable group of volunteers. These amazing individuals devote their time to helping our participants, facility and animals be the best that they can be. Not to mention, all of their hard work is always done with a big smile. Thank you for being you!

WOW! We can’t say thank you enough to @cobsbreadbrooklin , who chose to support us at Nova’s Ark during their month-long fundraiser.

COBS Bread Brooklin was the store in Canada to raise the most percentage in donations based on their sales therefore, COBS Bread founders, the Gillespie family, matched their donation!

None of this would be possible without our Brooklin community. With all of your support mixed with the efforts of COBS Bread Brooklin, a HUGE difference has been made. We so are grateful for the amazing team who poured their heart and soul into this fundraiser. Thank you from all of us at Nova’s Ark!

Thank you so much to the volunteers of the @pickeringcasino ! This amazing team came in to help us get ready for all that spring has in store. They were busy preparing gardens for planting, getting Thor’s summer home ready and opening up our outdoor furniture for relaxing. This is the first of many adventures together. Looking forward to a great year!

We had such a great time using our science skills to learn about the solar eclipse today. From putting our safety glasses to good use to making our own mini eclipses through an electrical circuit, it was a blast. What an amazing experience!
