Nova’s Ark is greatly appreciative of all the support given to us over the past year so that our programs could expand. This year, we are offering session opportunities throughout the year; Spring Camps, Summer Camps, PA Day programs and Adventure Day Sundays.
As always, all of our programs focus on the uniqueness of each and every child. Our amazing youth volunteers will continue to build on your child’s circle of friends. The property is going through some major renovations which we will all enjoy this spring and summer. The furry, scaly and feathery members of Nova’s Ark have also increased in number! There will be some new and innovative activities added to the daily schedule strips. So there will be many new opportunities for conversations, new memories and as a result, great stories.
NOVA’S ARK…..Where Special Is Welcome
NOVA’S ARK is a registered charity located on a peaceful ten acre, accessible private setting located in Brooklin (just North of Whitby).
NOVA’S ARK provides up to 4 peer mentors (youth buddies) with each special guest who will actively interact together to develop a Circle of Friends.
NOVA’S ARK is inclusive. We are proud of our respectful, caring environment where acceptance and understanding are the keys to everyone’s positive experience.
NOVA’S ARK has knowledgeable staff familiar with special education strategies to support accomodations and modifications.
CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
Traditional and non-traditional animals provide the spring board for many up close and personal hands on experiences. The animals are just the beginning of a unique social skills experience that is individualized to meet the needs of each participant. The sensory stimulation and language/communication development successfully occurs through the close bonds of the youth leaders who build connections through the wide range of daily activities.

SUNDAY ADVENTURE DAY OVERVIEW
During the year, Nova’s Ark offers an opportunity for children with special needs to join our trained and confident youth leaders to explore the many interesting animals and activities located on our ten acre property during our Sunday program. Each child is connected with 3 to 5 youth volunteers who become the “Circle of Friends”. The day program is individualized to meet the specific child’s needs. The focus continues to be on social and communication skills through exploration, sensory stimulation and structured play activities. The single day program provides an opportunity for a general overview of Nova’s Ark, key life skills development, physical involvement and respite time.
Sunday Adventure Days Registration Form:
*All sessions will be limited to a total of 15 participants. Please book early to obtain your choice of dates.
*This year, donations towards the sessions can be made by cheque (made out to Nova’s Ark), cash or through PayPal(all credit cards accepted). An income tax receipt will be provided.
*For those seeking financial assistance, there are a number of agencies/organizations who support children who attend the Nova’s Ark sessions. New this year, Nova’s Ark will also be offering financial assistance to families thanks to our Board of Directors and some amazing sponsors who have created a designated fund.
